On October 3, 4, 5 & 6 of 2010, the USS Fletcher DD/DDE-445 and DD-992 Reunion Group will be holding their 40th Anniversary Reunion at The Split Rock Resort and Golf Club Located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

It has been brought to my attention that there is movement underway at facebook.com to get some reunions organized. We really need to get these shipmates registered here at our website and get involved with future reunions that will include all of us. I need a lot of volunteers to keep track of the efforts of the group on facebook and assist them in discovering our website. A lot of our members have not checked in for years now. I have been able to create three videos so far and have posted them on Youtube. I will be making some more in the future. These movies are free and you are welcome to download them at any time. Go to www.youtube.com, in the search engine, type in walkerusn. You will see all of the movies I have posted.

What an accomplishment this past year has provided. Our first reunion is in the history books and we are getting more activity on the website. We are all thinking about this and the 445's website and we hope that a new destroyer will be named Fletcher.
We have had our ups and downs, both in our personal relationships and sometimes with each other. But, we are family, we work together and we were there for each other as well.
