| Announcement: Looking for Paintings commissioned in 1986-87 |

The email message:
Back in 86/87 we (the wardroom, chief's mess and the 445 group)
commissioned two paintings; one that showed 992 in the foreground with
445 on the horizon -titled "carry on" and the other that showed 445 in
night action off Samar. Those paintings would be a great addition to
your display. I have photographs of both but they aren't the originals.
Do you (or anyone else) know where they are and if they are available?

During the 1st reunion, I hope to put on a display table to consist of video clips, models and general information on USS Fletcher DD 992 and 445.
The plan will be to bring a vast array of 1:350 scale models:
The Fletchers, DD 445 and DD 992 sitting side by side to dramatically emphasize the differences between early destroyer design and Fletcher DD 992.
I also finally completed the USS New Jersey BB 62 which is also in the same scale. I usually place this ship in concert with the "F...

This subject was just recently brought up in a post. I thought I would offer the ability for those of you who can not make the first reunion the opportunity to send a video of yourself to be displayed at the reunion. I will cover the setup and preparations of all videos for this event. If you are interested, I can handle the following video formats:
VHS tapes
Mini DV tapes (Standard not HD)
Digital Video clips such as : .avi, .mpg1. and quicktime.
