I read the posts here on this website but I also see that not many shipmates visit this site. So my question is when will the committee for the Fletcher Reunions establish a Facebook site devoted to the Fletcher DD 445 and DD 992 reunions? We have a lot more shipmates who are looking for information at facebook. The best way to let them know about this website is advertise it on a reunion page. Now, there is a 1990's and on Fletcher facebook site but it is dying. It has no activity and may ...

Here is the basic form letter for requesting a new Fletcher for the fleet.
Basically you can copy from this post, place text in a word document, make the changes that apply to your case and then mail it to the address provided.
Start the copying from the next line down.

Funding for a Fletcher Coin has been approved by the attending members of The USS Fletcher Reunion Group at this mornings Annual Meeting. RC Kingsbury, Armond Blanchet, Buck Locke, Kelly O'Brien and I will be getting right on this project. Great Job Kelly.
The decision has been made that the Reunion for 2013 will be held on the West Coast, preferably in San Diego, Ca. The Board has asked Kelly O'Brien and I to find someone in the area to sponsor/host/coordinate the Reunion. Would anyone be i...

FYI - If you've ever had posting reply issues to News Announcment Topics on this "The Portal Page", the settings have been changed. Post away, they are no longer blocked.
