Bio mentions that he had command of Fletcher - was he CO of Fletch at some point?

Yeah, Ken. He came to us from being an instructor at the Gas Turbine platform school for PCOs. He was probably (hell, he was) the best CO I ever served under. I'm not sure what year he left Fletcher or where he went after that. But, it doesn't suprise me that he made Flag. That guy IS sharp! He made going through OPPE (my last 3 days in the Navy) bearable. He even wrote me a letter of recommendation 3 years after I was out. GREAT GUY!!

I'm happy to say that I found Dave Baumann! We talked for 30 minutes while he was driving to work. I'll let Dave tell you where the rest of the moose is (inside joke).
